River Wise

I am a 21-year-old queer theater maker from Des Moines, Iowa. What I love about set design is that it gives the freedom to create a vastly different world for the audience and actors to immerse themselves in. It also gives them a chance to reflect on the outside world by experiencing a story through someone else's eyes, planting a seed of empathy that they could take with them wherever they go.
